The End of Another Year at Purchase

I finished my junior year at Purchase in mid-May. It was actually the first time that I was sad to see the year end. The 2005-2006 school year was such a monumental thing for me. It went from being excited to go to Marist, to going back to Purchase (thank goodness), and having the best year at P.C. I could have ever wanted. Yeah so maybe my grades weren't the best but I had the best time. For the first time since I started Purchase, I finally felt like I belonged there. Purchase is a perfect fit for me. Ok, so maybe they don't have all the classes that I would have ever wanted to take but I belong there. And now...I am kinda sad that I only have one more year there.

Yeah I can't believe it. Next May I will be graduating from Purchase. Way too grown up for me. Not quite ready for that whole adult thing. But I'm excited. I think that this coming year is going to be huge and I am excited to see what it brings. I am acutally looking foward to going back to Purchase, but not rushing this summer at all.

Summer 2006...so far

My summer started off with a great vacation with my Evil Trio. Lisa, Qhehnya and I went to Ocean City, MD over Memorial Day Weekend. Definitally a great time. We had great weather and it was so great to get to spend 4 days with Lisa (as always...my bestest) and Qhehnya (esp. since i never get to see here) and let alone b/c the 3 of us hadn't been together in years. Despite my massive sunburn ...the trip was great! YAY.

I just started a summer class this week. I'm taking a science class at WCC which im not exactly thrilled about. I mean really, who wants to be in school in the summer lol. It's not bad though. 3 days a week for 3 hours and the class only lasts for a month. The teacher is actually really interesting and it doesn't look like its going to be too bad. I'll be happy to see it end though.

And yes...I am still at the movie theater. Not going too crazy with hours this summer b/c of school and all but thats fine with me. I like having some free time to hang out with my friends and enjoy the last summer before I have to get a real job *ick*

So basically I'm having a low key summer and enjoying it like crazy

ok so i haven't updated this tine in a while. So what has been new with me. Lets see. Well, school is going pretty good but I really can't wait for it to be over. I registered for next semeter and I am taking 3 classes plus my senior project (my 40 pg paper for graduation). I'm taking Journalism senior seminar, traditional china and social persepective of developemental psychology. Not to mention that I am more than likely taking a class at WCC this summer called Problems in Pollution. I just have to get through one more year and then I am offically done with school for the rest of my life. Scary but amazing

I'm still working at the movie theater. I tolerate it. Qhehnya may we working there for the summer with me and that is amazing. I never get to see her so I am thrilled to work with her hehe

I'm leaving for vacation in 5 days. *YAY*. I'm going to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and I am so excited its not even funny. I've never been there but it sounds awesome. Then again, anything other than Yonkers is pretty good.

At the end of May I am going to Ocean City, MD again. Going with Lisa L and Qhehnya for an evil trio reuinion. It will be just like the good old days when we were 13. Yay lol.

Why is it that when the last thing that I want to think about is Vegas and how SOMEONE is going there tomorrow and I'm not exactly happy that I won't see SOMEONE for like a week ....everything is about Vegas. I'm wathching Will and Grace..They are in Vegas. Seaches for Ballys Total Fitness in google, came up with an add for a casino in vegas. In class...talking about people getting married in vegas. damn lol

Yeah i mean it really not that big of a deal i'm just a stupid girl who can't seem to stop liking someone. what else is new

The next week or so are going to be incredibly long for me. So much going on in my life and in my head I guess you could say.

I have class at 6:30. Not in the mood to go but im glad we are going to get out early today. oh the benefits of being in a class full of music majors when they have to go to a performance hehe.

i can't wait for this kitchen construction to end.

WCC just e-mailed me back. I'm trying to plan my summer class. I think I may be taking "Science and Surviving" there from May 22-June 22. Not bad 3 credits and hopefully Greg will take the class with me! I don't like going to classes where I don't know anyone haha

So if anyone needs a science class and wants to take it in the summer let me know

So I'm just gunna do a short recap/post before I go to sleep.

Back at school now. Hating it of course. Actually this semester isnt too bad so far. I just don't like being a journalism major who doesn't want to be a journalist but what else is new. My classes are hard. Lots of work. Thats college I guess. But w/e. It will all be worth it in May 2007 when I leave that campus with a my degree.

Last Saturday was Alexis's 21st birthday. Happy B-day Alexis. I think I enjoyed her bday more than she did though lol. We went to a "show" called Times Square Hunks in the city. HOLY SHIT lol. Nearly naked men all over us. Enough said lol. It was so much fun. Sounds trashy when I'm writing this but I swear it was cool haha. Absolutly hysterical. And I was loving how I showed the bouncer my id which clearly states in big red writing that I am under 21..but he puts a bracelt on me ( and my friends) and says "this is so you can drink"....Those Cosmos were amazing lol. Seriously we keep saying that it was the best night of our lives. Def. a night to remember.

Sunday morning it was back to reality. Spent Sat night at Alexis and Jens house and got to wake up to my friends *YAY* and then realize that me and Jen had to go to work for the rest of the day *boo* lol No work is good I guess. As good as can be expected. I swear the only reasons I'm there is b.c I like getting paid (5 cents above min. wage. gotta love it lol) and my friends there are pretty cool lol.

So once Jen and I stopped just saying "OMG i cant beleive we did that" at work Sunday. It was back to reality. Yelling about how we hate Valenitnes day and our lives suck hehe

I really do hate Valentines day though. Probably because I have never had a good one in my life. Something always goes wrong or should I say nothing ever happens. And where does it look like I will be spending this Valentines. At my job scooping popcorn. Oh come on now...you know you are jealous.

Happy New Year everyone

Gunna keep this one short. I had an awesome new year. got my schedule changed at work so i left at 8. Lisa C, Alexis and Jenn came over for midnight. Lisa L came soon after. Had a few too many drinks but what can I say..those seabreeses were good lol. Stayed up with Lisa L after everyone else went to sleep and watched the goonies. i really need to see that movie when im sober lol. Interesting cramming evereyone in my room. Lisa you can sleep with me anytime ...excepy u def kicked me a lot lol. I seem to remember lying in my bed and telling Lisa that i felt like i was floating lol. Oh yeah and trying to prove to lisa i could walk in a straight line at the top of my stairs...when i def. couldnt lol. So basically i was an awesome new year and iw as so happy to spend it wiht some of my favorite people

Christmas Eve - Spent the day with the Butta's hehe. Got to see Jackie, Gina and Catherine who I haven't seen in months so that was cool. Good times reminishing of years ago. Haha. After that came back home with the family and opened up some gifts.

Christmas - Woke up at 7:30 AM because I'm a little kid and knowing there are presents downstairs kills me lol. Dragged everyone out of bed and opened gifts. Later, my Grandma and Grandpa M and Grandma C and Uncle Brien all came over. Oh and of course throw mass in there too

Today - Party at the Murphys. Went to the grandparents for the annual party. Good times. My "little" cousins are not so little anymore. I can't believe Christine is gunna be 13 in a few weeks. I remember when she was so little, holding her on the couch with Genevive. Wow haha. But yeah it was fun. "It's a girl thing" haha right Gen, Viv and Christine.

The fall 2005 semester is offically over. i took my last final yesterday. I am just so glad that it is over. Definetly the most intense semester of my life. A lot has happened but I'm glad that it has finally come to an end. Now I get to enjoy having no school work until Jan 19th. Now I only have to deal with my job. Not too bad.

Worked today just like every Friday night. It was really quiet so it was good. wrapped some boxes for our x-mas tree. good things like that. Probably going to the mall tomorrow and then to Lisa C's house at night. Should be lots of fun.

Dane...that silly bitch

Dane Cook last night was fucking awesome! Thats the only way to describe it haha. I have never laughed so hard in my entire life

I had my Italian final at 3, finished that around 4. Got home and got ready for Dane. Things didn't work out according to plan in terms of the time we left. Me, Lisa and Jen ended up waiting in front of my house for a while bc Alexis got stuck at school....so we didn't leave for the 7PM show until about 6:50. Not a problem though because we are so awesome. We hit not a second of traffic on the bridge and made itt to Continental in about 30 min. Got to our seats and missed NOTHING. HA! We got to enjoy creamwiches in Yonkers while thousands of others sat in traffic haha. The show started at about 8. The first commedian was funny. He was good but way to vulgar. Sometimes thats just not funny. Then Dane came on and we got right aboard the Dane train. He was absolutly hyserical. Did not stop laughing all night. Sluts in Section C! LMAO. So good. I love that guy. After Dane we went to McDonalds and hung out of a bit before heading home. Such a great night.

Today - Went up to Purchase to study for journalism with Melissa. Hopefully we do good on our final tomorrow. Then went to Iona with Alexis and Jen to see Alexis's video production final that we were in. Turned out really great. Alexis did a great job. Remember the little people when you go to Hollywood Laba haha. Now relaxing a bit before work at 6...then home for studying.

Had Italian from 2:30-4:10...boring as always but I survived. I'll miss all my Italian friends next semester when I have to take antoher class and not be with all of them.

After class..went straight to the library where I have been ever since. Finished my psychology extra credit assignment which took me a total of 5 hours over hte course of 2 days...and Lauren just told me she did hers a different way so who knows if im right lol

Now im just in the library using the compter. Had to fight for one and im not letting it go easily lol THe library is so full of people acutally studying. You can tell Finals start on Monday

6:30-9:50 I have my last horrible psychology class. Wouldnt be SO bad if my intenet worked! Yeah I brought my laptop figuring i'd be able to go online during class but NO now why would my wireless card work. It says i need to install some softwear that got erased when i deleted my whole computer. this sucks. if i survive this class with all of my sanity..it will be a miracle.

well back 2 weeks first of all. My Birthday. Spent my actual b-day/thanksgiving at work in the morning. Sounds worse than it really was. A bunch of my friends were working so it was cool. Then went straight to family festivites for the rest of the night. Had a good b-day..
The day after we went to cut down our Christmas tree. Even though we didn't put it up yet...it was fun
Saturday was my honorary b-day. Went to Edo's with the family. So good. Had a good time. Then went out with some of my favorite people at night. Me, Hillary, Kerri, Alexis, Jenn, Lisa L, Lisa C, Andy and Kevin went to Cosi for smores. It was really good. And then after a quick stop in Bronxville, most of us went back to my house. Def. had a good b-day

We've been in the mists of constuction for a while now. We are redoing out kitchen and dining room. The dining room is done now...mostly. Its all painted and we have new floors. All we gotta do is move in the furnature again. The kitchen still has a while to go. It currently looks like a crack kitchen lol. Its gross and old looking and has nothing more but a sink and a fridge in it. No stove for a few weeks = lots of going out lol.

Yesteday I chipped 2 of my teeth. Yea..not fun. Yup 2 of my front teeth, one top and one bottom. I Was playing with my dog, his head hit the bottom of my chin, my mouth slammed shut. They arent bad chips, you can barely notice them but still. It sucks and doesnnt feel all that great.

well ive gotta go. my mom is about to come home and we're gunna eat. Then I gotta shower, get ready for class, do last revision on my article, get through the last journalism class of 2005, and then go out of dinner before coming home and doing massive amounts of work for tomorrow.

So things are crazy and busy...what else is new haha.

Working every day from now until forever. Ok how about from last Fri until this Friday...with Monday off. Seems like forever though. Some "break" I am going to have haha. It's ok. I just like to complain. I like my job..although I am not thrilled to be spending my birthday/thanksgiving there. Yes you did not read that wrong. I am working on my bday/thanksgiving....along with every other person I work with. I swear if we got time and a half I wouldn't mind but spending the holiday and my bday scooping popcorn for next to nothing sucks. Could be worse though....I'll be with my friends YAY

Tomorrow should be good times. Going to be spending my day pretending to be a movie star! We are filming Alexis's video production project tomorrow and I'm in it...along with Jen, Marc and a few other people. I have a feeling it is going to be an interesting and fun day haha. Always is when you get all of us together. Then Jen and I get to go to work at 6. Now that is going to suck bc we are getting Rent tomorrow and I get to be in the box dealing with the angry customers. If you are thinking of going to my theater to see Rent tomorrow..don't haha.

So Koji is officially my favorite person in the world (for now anyways lol jk) because last night he informed me that Dane Cook tickets were going on sale today. I was so sad that I didn't get to see Dane last time because I though I was gunna be at Marist (oh how things change haha) but I've got good news.

December 2nd - Dane Cook - Continental Arena..and yes I will be there

Yes it is true. I do not lid about these things. I'm going with Alexis, Jenn and possibly Lisa....and we acutally have really good seats. They have the stage in the middle of the arena so basically they are only selling half the arena...and we are not too far away so I'm happy since I love Dane haha. And something else thats pretty cool...Koji, Marc and their friends are going...and there tickets are only one section over from ours. What a coinsidence haha. Nah thats cool though...I like seeing people I know at things like that.

In other news...I can't wait till Thanksgiving break. I only have class tomorrow, Thursday (with a test ..not fun) and then one class on Monday and thats it until the following Monday. It's not even like I have much planned for my break other than ...work, homework, turkey and birthday cake but still. Probably filming a mini movie for Alexis's video production class which is cool. So I'm sitting here in the library trying to pretend that I don't have an italian quiz in 27 minuites and that I dont have to spend the next 4 hours sitting in classes that I don't like...

But I have to look on the bright side...not counting today I only have 9 more days of classes left this semester and 10 days till my birthday. YAY.

Lets do a little recap...

Saturday - lovely day hehe. Went bowling in White Plains with Alexis, Jenn, Lisa C, Hillary, Marc, Koji and Kate. Now of course I sucked at bowling but what else is new...BUT we must remember that I did get one strike and won one game agaist Alexis, Hill and Jenn haha. After that me, Alexis, Jenn, Marc, Koji and Kate went to get some food at Fridays. Some funny stuff there...good times. We all must hang out again soon.

Sunday - RYAN CABRERA CONCERT! Got to the city with Alexis and Jenn at 1:30 and processed to sit on the sidewalk in the middle of times square (below MTV to be exact) for 4 hours. I'm the doctor, happy meals, 80's hair, jazzy scooter, girl sit on the sheet, who are you wating for, we're the oldest people here, ryan cabrera is gay (LOL)....oh the things we do and see when we are bored haha. Ryan was awesome. Such a good time. The Nokia Theater in Times Square sucks. Don't go there...they basically have no security. I had fun telling that asshole to fuck off too....but getting punched in the head repeatidly sucked. Overall it was fun though.

Then it was back to reality. A week of hell at Purchase as always. I really hate class. Thank goodness I only have a little more than 3 weeks of classes left. Tomorrow will suck though. Night class...poop
